Campus Alert
Campus Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) Update
On Monday, June 1st, ITS will disable the “remember me” feature that is currently available for selection when acknowledging MFA challenges when accessing campus wide systems and services.
The “remember me” feature in Office 365 introduces persistent authentication sessions that reduce the frequency of MFA challenges. While convenient, this behavior increases risk by allowing compromised session tokens or unattended devices to bypass MFA for extended periods.
While this will result in increased MFA challenges, this change strengthens the college’s information security posture and addresses the increased threat of phishing-based credential compromises.
Disabling this feature ensures a more consistent enforcement of multi-factor authentication, reduces exposure from long-lived sessions, and supports a zero-trust approach to access control.

The annual open enrollment process for 2026 will take place in Workday starting Monday, May 11, through Monday, May 25.
